Milwaukee 5625 Router Review, Video
If you are new to TheRouterManiac.com, perhaps you would like to subscribe to our feed for router table articles and reviews, as well as general woodworking tips.
This short video has some interesting aspects to it. It gives you a nice perspective of the router, certainly much better than a picture. It also shows you several features of the router such as:
- Hand held or table mount (even though its a big router)
- self extracting collet
- rubberized handles
- bit depth adjustment, even as little as 1/64th”
The thing I found most interesting is the wrench that is included so that you can make bit adjustments by rasing or lowering the bit. If you used this router in a router table it would effectively serve as a router lift. Right now router lifts are all the rage and people often spend between $200 and $400 to get one, depending on the brand. This router more or less gives you a system built it. You would have to drill a seperate hole in your insert to be able to accomodate it. That would not be a good idea with a phenolic insert, but it would work fine with a aluminum insert. Food for thought.
